INFO & CREDITS
CFTIcollections is a tool developed in the context of the activities of CFTI Working Group. It is a dynamic archive that makes available to everyone the many publications compiled by the group members based on
- the analysis of historical sources used for the compilation of the Catalogue of Strong Earthquakes in Italy and in the Mediterranean area (CFTI),
- the research on methods to be used for such analysis, and
- thematic syntheses of data offered by CFTI itself.
CFTIcollections is a treasure trove that preserves and enhances both the great Italian tradition in the field of earthquake studies, and the wealth of publications that emerged from historical and seismological specialist work conducted over the past four, effervescent decades. A tool designed to preserve, make accessible and disseminate scientific and humanistic production on historical seismicity, which precisely because of its multidisciplinary nature has struggled and continues to struggle to find its place among the traditional academic fields.
